The Port of Sept-Îles, located on the north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, is linked by rail to the mining towns of Schefferville, Wabush and Labrador City.

Quebec Port Terminals loads and unloads general cargo at this port. Facilities at La Relance wharf, at Pointe-Noire, include a ro-ro type transhipment ramp.
