$50,000 for the University of Toronto Project

For the 3rd edition of QSL SECURES SUPPORT, QSL has chosen to donate $50 000 to the University of Toronto, one of the world’s top medical schools and research hubs, to support its project of creating The Veteran Mental Health Network.

Setting up this network will allow a multidisciplinary approach focused on veterans’ needs to be developed. A clinical study conducted by U of T in 2018 showed that the mental health services offered to this clientele are sadly lacking.

More Than Ever, an Important Issue

Over the past year, the issue of mental health and the importance of devoting more resources to it have been widely publicized. Our mental health is just as valuable as our physical health. A healthy mind in a healthy body, as the saying goes. The two go hand in hand.

Within the QSL family, many employees are, or have been, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, just like thousands of Canadian men and women. They have kept our nation safe and defended it with courage and dedication. We can never thank them enough for their commitment. This is why U of T’s project spoke to us.

“Our people are our most valuable asset. They are the ones who make sure our activities succeed on a daily basis and who ensure our customers’ satisfaction. Because our employees’ well-being is a constant concern, we strive endlessly to improve our management and our approaches. Health and safety, respect, innovation, team spirit, fun at work, loyalty and being a good corporate citizen are values that are dear to us and that have guided QSL from the very outset. Taking care of our people and giving back to the community are, and will continue to be, our priority.”

Robert Bellisle, QSL President and CEO
