The Beauport deepwater terminal has a water depth of 49 ft (15 m) at low tide and can accommodate vessels of up to 175,000 tonnes of deadweight tonnage (DWT). With its unique location in the middle of the St. Lawrence Seaway, it is one of the most important transshipment ports in North America.

The wharves boast a combined 3,675 ft (1,120 m) of docking space and are equipped with four mobile gantry cranes, automated stacking systems, conventional conveyors, a ship loader and an impressive array of heavy machinery, making it possible to move up to 150,000 tonnes of cargo a day.

The Beauport terminal also features a state-of-the-art computerized cargo management system and a drone inventory recording system. It is linked to the CN Railway and connects to major North American highways.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, QSL makes significant investments to expand storage areas, improve equipment, implement numerous mitigation measures and train its workforce to ensure quality control while minimizing the impact of its operations on the immediate environment.
