Bulk

Our century-long bulk know-how finds its roots at our main bulk handling facility, QSL’s Port of Quebec Beauport Terminal. This Terminal offers a draft of 49 feet (15 meters) that allows vessels carrying up to 145 000 metric tonnes to discharge or load product at the Port. No other Port on the St. Lawrence River / Great lakes axis boasts such a draft combined with the ability to both discharge and load ocean-going vessels of this size. As such, this QSL’s terminal has established itself as the only high draft, multi-user, multi product bulk transloading terminal.

This expertise enables us to offer our clients state-of-the-art bulk handling and complementary services across our entire network, for all types of bulk commodities.

Break Bulk, General Cargo & Project Cargo

Every terminal throughout our network has the expertise, the technology and the right equipment to handle any kind of cargo. From a single piece to multi-shipment projects, we are always ready to innovate with tailored solutions for specific handling operations. We can also provide you with additional related services such as stuffing, crating, indoor/outdoor storage and inventory management.

At QSL, we have developed extensive experience in container handling methods as well as container terminal design. We also offer container stuffing, crating, container maintenance and inventory management services. Furthermore, our recent acquisition of Empire Stevedoring brings an additional 80 years of handling expertise to our seasoned teams.
