Located on Lake Calumet, south of Chicago, the Lake Calumet Terminal has a water depth of 27 ft (8.3 m) with 3,000 ft (914 m) of ship and barge berthing space. The terminal includes four warehouses for a total of 352,600 ft2 (32,757 m2) of indoor storage and 30 acres (121,405 m2) of established outdoor storage with room to grow.

A Free Trade Zone (FTZ) (Subzone 22Y) storage is available for inside and outside storage. Additionally, it is equipped to handle various cargos from barges, vessels, rails, trucks and containers. The terminal is located near Interstate 94 and is serviced daily by the Chicago South Shore Railroad, connecting to all Class 1 railroads.
